Douglas B. Hanna has
been practicing law for over 30 years. After graduating from Wake
Forest School of Law in 1973, he was admitted to the NJ State Court
and U.S. District Court of NJ. In 1987, Mr. Hanna was admitted to
the Southern & Eastern District Court of NY, and in 1999, he was
admitted to the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Hanna is certified
by the NJ Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. He has
seen over 300 trials to conclusion and has lectured extensively on
the subject of civil trial preparation at the Institute for
Continuing Legal Education.
Douglas Hanna has been
featured in numerous articles published in the New Jersey Law
Journal and in Jury Verdict Review & Analysis regarding the
settlements and verdicts of his cases. He has been interviewed by
the New York Times, Philadelphia Enquirer, Newark Star-Ledger, and
the Asbury Park Press about his cases. In addition, Mr. Hanna has
recently written an article, “Expert Witnesses 101,” published in
New Jersey Lawyer Magazine (August 2004).
Mr. Hanna has served as
an arbitrator for Monmouth County since 1988. He is currently a
member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Million Dollar
Advocate Forum, the Monmouth County Bar Association, and the New
Jersey State Bar Association.
Douglas Hanna is married
with one son and his hobbies include fishing, boating, golf, tennis,
rollerblading, bridge, and reading.
